Blog Post! Week One. Ye Saga Begins

Greetings and Salutations to all!

And so it begins.

My name is Amy Schaffer and I work at the Basehor Community Library and have done so for the past 7 1/2 years. (Has it really been that long? How did time pass that quickly?)

Anyway......

Maybe I should discuss the title of my new blog. There's not much of a story behind it but it WAS the number 1 response when I opened the door on Halloween. It went a little something like this:

Scene. Halloween night. The Schaffer family is sitting in the living room enjoying the wonderful Halloween night programing on television.

*doorbell rings*

Amy rises from the couch, picks up the candy bowl and walks to the door.

As she opens the door, a cheerful round of, "Trick or Treat!" is heard throughout the house.

She looks into the faces of the waiting public and hears a phrase, one that is repeated all night.

"Oh! You're that one lady who works at the library!"

She answers, "Why yes, yes I am."

End scene.


I'm looking forward to 23 Things and the weeks ahead!
At the library I'm in charge of teens and cataloging. (Yes, it is a strange combination but I enjoy both)
